CLOSE, but not quite because food and drinks are not unlimited. All your amazing retreat accommodations with amenities, meals and non alcoholic beverages are all included. Also included in your retreat package are all your activations, healing sessions, shamanic ceremonies, workshops, planned excursions, taxes, gratuities, pre-retreat healing sessions and classes, as well as your continued online support. There are so many amazing perks that make this *one of a kind retreat* the most valuable for a 6 day retreat. However, please note the things that are not included or considered an add-on. They are listed above in what the price excludes and other items are specifically listed as add-on options. Keep in mind - You can enjoy your week with us without making any additional purchases. 

When you book your retreat, you will receive virtual "The RETURN Journey" coaching classes and Mayan Mysticism classes. These are classes that will begin two months before departure. You will get to virtually meet your retreat guide, Stephanie, and have a chance to virtually meet your fellow travelers. There will be classes focused on bringing the focus back to self to prepare your mind, body, and spirit for the upcoming retreat. Additionally, there will be classes focused on learning about the Mayan culture and traditions. Many people have heard about the Mayans, their infamous calendar, mathematics, and architecture, but not many understand the ancient Maya civilization held a deep and complex spirituality deeply intertwined with their daily lives. They believed in a cosmos animated by numerous gods, spirits, and ancestors, and their religious practices involved rituals, offerings, and astronomical observations to maintain balance and harmony within this spiritual world. In these courses, you will get an understanding of the beautiful interconnectedness of their beliefs and culture before stepping into their world allowing you to connect even deeper to the energies of the land once you arrive. This is not meant to replace your current beliefs. This is simply an invitation to arrive with an open heart and an open mind. 

Upon booking your retreat, you will be invited to join a private Facebook group and WhatsApp group chat (unless you specifically request not to be included). These spaces are designed to foster pre-retreat introductions as well as ongoing connection and support among retreat participants. Guests are encouraged to share their experiences, post pictures of the retreat, stay in touch, and continue building a community. Your retreat host will also remain active in the group to offer continued guidance and share future retreat opportunities. 

This retreat is expected to be a total of approximately 10-20 people. 

YES! Booking assistance is available. Each traveler is responsible for booking their own international flights. However, please reach out to Stephanie if you have any questions regarding booking your flights to ensure proper arrival days. Prices can vary depending on when and how you book your flights. 

Note your arrival and departure days listed above in the itinerary. Depending on where you are traveling from, which country, and whether you are going to have connecting flights and layovers, you may need to leave early to arrive on your intended arrival day of choice.

Yes! While you may hear all kinds of stories about traveling to any country outside the US, especially Mexico or Costa Rica, it is generally safe. It is important to always travel safely as well. You will be flying straight into the Liberia airport and have a private transfer straight to the resort. While on the retreat you will have your guide, Stephanie, who has traveled numerous times, is familiar with the country, the culture, and the people. Additionally, you will have the assistance and support of the Casas Kismet owners Lizzy and Terry, and their staff who will be ensuring your safety and satisfaction throughout your stay. Any excursions will also include a local bilingual guide and be conducted in a safe manner. 

Travel insurance is always highly recommended no matter where you plan to travel to. Most travel insurance agencies will require a deadline to purchase coverage from your time of booking. For example, you may be required to purchase within three days of booking. Please research this prior to booking if you are choosing to purchase travel insurance. All payments are final.

Absolutely, YES! This is a spiritual retreat and the goal is for everyone to connect the mind, body, and spirit while also finding peace within and feeling rejuvenated. There will be guidance on how to achieve this along the way, beginning with virtual "THe RETURN Journey" classes prior to departure. Start and end times on the retreat will vary each day depending on the experiences of the day. Therefore, I will be arranging times for morning meditations and evening reflections daily for those who wish to join. This communication will be done through a WhatsApp group chat and via email. In addition to the mediations, I plan to incorporate some light yoga as well. PLR Hypnotherapy is also possible during the retreat. Keep in mind a personal session for each in attendance is included in the price and will be provided prior to departure. 

Stephanie, the founder and CEO of Travel Life Collective, will be your spiritual and Holistic Guide throughout this retreat. It is possible that a co-facilitator or two will be added. If that happens, Stephanie will update all guests and the itinerary accordingly. There will be other facilitators for sound healing, shamans for the authentic Mayan ceremonies, and local tour guides for the planned excursions as well. 

You must have a passport that does not expire within six months of travel to avoid being stopped and questioned creating travel delays.

You do not need any special outlet adapters.

You will want to pack accordingly for the trip. Temperatures in Costa Rica during the month of May are nice and warm. Bring comfortable clothes, bathing suits, comfortable shoes, water shoes, and proper hiking gear for the excursions.

Not unless they are adult children. No minors. For this unique holistic experience, you must be 18 years of age or older to join this retreat. If you would like to arrange a private family tour or retreat, one can be planned for you separately from this retreat. Please contact Stephanie to learn more.

Yes! You must be able to walk and climb multiple flights of stairs. The excursions will include walking and getting into water. Additionally, there are no Covid-19 restrictions. Everything is open and there are no vaccination requirements or mask requirements. It is always recommended to bring a travel hand sanitizer and use regularly throughout any travel experience. If you would prefer to take your own precautions, like wearing a mask, you are more than welcome to. 

Everything listed will be what you receive in this retreat experience unless you opt out of an experience because we will always support choice. Everything listed as optional were designed that way to help create the best experience for everyone based on their individual interests.

Yes! You are more than welcome to shop for souvenirs before you leave. We can arrange to go into town during some free time if an opportunity doesn't present itself otherwise. 

You can use both if you would like! Costa Rica accepts USD. 

Please look up your own country's currency and exchange rates before departure as they can change daily. 

Yes, you can use your card at the resort and in town when we are out for our excursions. It is perfectly safe. Though, I do recommend taking cash anytime you are traveling to other countries. Just in case a card reader doesn't work or your bank restricts your card usage while traveling, it can be a great way to be additionally prepared. 

I recommend $250-$500 USD or equivalent in your currency in small bills which will be plenty for the average shopper. More only if you would like to purchase many souvenirs or prefer to make all purchases with cash during the retreat so you can use your card less at the retreat center. Personally, I found $250 USD plenty for me, which gets me souvenirs and plenty of additional drinks from the specialty menus at the resort. Remember - Specialty coffees, smoothies, and alcoholic drinks are an additional purchase. You can also use your card with the resort and save your cash for tips and smaller purchases. 

Yes. However, you have options on how you would like to have coverage. You will have Wi-Fi at the resort which will allow for Wi-Fi text and calling. MOST cell phone provider plans include free calling and text messages. If you aren't sure, research this with your provider. If they do not include it, you can call your cellular provider and request international calling and text during your stay or your can purchase a SIM card. SIM cards are very affordable.

There are also plenty of pictures of the retreat center for you to view. Just to list a few - here is a list of the amenities. 

There is a private pool, private chef, spa services, free Wi-Fi, transportation, event spaces, concierge services, and air conditioning. There will also be cold plunges, a gym, yoga shala, hammocks, and gorgeous panoramic ocean views!

Yes! There will be plenty of opportunities to be introduced virtually before the tour. We will all be connected on Facebook for all who use that social media platform through an event page and a private group. You will also be invited to online virtual meetings prior to the tour. Closer to departure, we will also have a WhatsApp group text for those who want to stay engaged that way. 

When traveling to other countries, understand there are usually differences in the water filtration systems and microbials in the water. The same is true for Costa Rica. Though safe to shower with, avoid drinking the faucet water for this reason. Only drink bottled or filtered water which will be provided to you throughout your stay. You will have filtered water in your room. Keep a glass of water by the sink for brushing your teeth.
